Spartan Superway Wheelchair Restraint
Senior Project
Project Work
Brainstorming
- · Restraint mechanism must be fully autonomous.
- · Full scale design must be built by the end of the academic year.
- · Bus rides could be useful to take dimensions of the area meant for wheelchairs.
- · Could skiing boot locking mechanism work for our project? Do research.
- · Must work properly next semester and must show some way of showing the user if its fully engaged, or not constrained properly.
- · Talk to suppliers that could provide materials for our project. Talk to AJ for networking advice.
- · Ron mentioned Granger? supply store since it could be an useful place to look.
- · Talk to professor Du to request permission to use the wheelchair that is at her disposal. (Done).
- · Do research on wheelchairs to have a good sense on what to expect for the design, since mechanism must work with several different styles of wheelchairs.
